PASTOR ROBERT SHERROD

Pastor Robert H. Sherrod is a bi-vocational leader, while he pastors Word of God Ministry, he also is a full time employee of the United Way of Greater Knoxville and has worked for the non-profit sector over 40 years. He is a native of Knoxville and a graduate of the University of Tennessee. He is married to Jacqueline D. Sherrod and has one daughter, Aurielle Wright (Stephon) and granddaughter Eden Elizabeth Wright.

 Pastor Sherrod entered the ministry in 1984 and studied under the curriculum of the AME Zion church. He was ordained deacon in 1987 and ordained Elder in 1989 with full ministerial authority of the church. Pastor Sherrod has served several churches as the under-shepherd before being led to start Word of God Ministry. Pastor Sherrod's vision is to take the good news and truth to all parts of the earth using social media, radio, television and community outreach. Pastor Sherrod enjoys, reading, studying the bible, fishing, auto mechanics, swimming, boating, and working out when time permits.
